Wir haben mit unserem Vortrag u. a. versucht deutlich zu machen, was Flick unter quantitativer und qualitativer Forschung versteht und gleichzeitig untersucht, inwiefern Kurt Kohls bereits 1956 veröffentlichtes Werk „Zum Problem der Sensumotorik“ die von Uwe Flick beschriebenen Kennzeichen quantitativer und qualitativer Forschungsprozesse berücksichtigt. Uwe Flick ist Sozialwissenschaftler, 1956 geboren und studierter Psychologe und Soziologe und hat als angesehener Professor und Dozent an verschiedenen Universitäten gelehrt und diverse Veröffentlichungen gemacht. Sein Buch steht nicht direkt im Zusammenhang mit der Sportwissenschaft und Kurt Kohl. Da quantitative und qualitative Forschung in nahezu fast allen Wissenschaftsbereichen angewendet wird, aber in keiner uns zugänglichen Literatur so interdisziplinär behandelt wird, war es für uns eine ebenso schwierige wie interessante Aufgabe Uwe Flicks sozialwissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse zu Forschungsprozessen aus den 90er Jahren in Zusammenhang zu bringen mit der praxisorientierten sportwissenschaftlichen Forschung von Kurt Kohl aus den 50er Jahren. Obwohl Uwe Flicks Buch „Qualitative Sozialforschung“ erst viel später veröffentlicht wurde als Kohls Buch „Zum Problem der Sensumotorik“, haben wir erstaunlicherweise festgestellt, dass Kohl in seiner Forschung viele der von Flick beschriebenen Kennzeichen quantitativer und qualitativer Forschung in seiner Arbeit berücksichtigt hat. Genau dies soll der Schwerpunkt unseres Referates sein, währenddessen wir auch immer wieder versucht haben die Seminarteilnehmer durch Fragen und das Aufwerfen von Diskussionspunkten mit einzubeziehen, um somit Kurt Kohls Forschung besser einschätzen und beurteilen zu können.
