Metakommunikation Kommunikation über Kommunikation ist. Allerdings beinhaltet diese
Kurzdefinition weder Aussagen über die Voraussetzungen noch über die Anwendung von
Metakommunikation und soll daher im Folgenden erklärt und erweitert werden. Zuvor soll
jedoch der Begriff bestimmt und damit ein Überblick über die unterschiedlichen
Interpretationen von „Metakommunikation“ gegeben werden.
Auch wenn sich viele Menschen dessen nicht bewusst sind: Metakommunikation gehört zur
Alltagssprache. Sie ist ein konstitutives Element der kommunikativen Interaktionsfähigkeit
des Menschen. Ohne Metakommunikation ist ein sinnvoller Austausch von Informationen
kaum möglich. Die Verständigung darüber, wie der Sender einer Nachricht diese Nachricht
vom Empfänger verstanden wissen will, ist essentiell für gelungene Kommunikation. In
diesem Zusammenhang sollen explizite und implizite Metakommunikation erklärt und um
den Begriff der „Doppelbindung“ ergänzt werden.
Anschließend wird der Aufbau meines Seminarbeitrags dargelegt werden. Er besteht aus
einem theoretischen und einem praktischen Teil. Die Seminarteilnehmer sollten sich zuerst
mit dem Thema „Metakommunikation“ vertraut machen, um es später umzusetzen.
