Es ist erstaunlich, wie zeitlos und aktuell dessen Thematik heute ist. Denn es geht um den Menschen mit all seinen Vorzügen und Fehlern, seiner Liebe und Lust, seiner Phantasie und seinen Träumen, umgeben von der wertvollen Zeit als fast grenzenloses Kontinuum und bestimmende Größe im Spiel des Lebens.
Ganz beeindruckend verbindet Marcel Proust eigene Erfahrungen und Beobachtungen mit den verschiedenartigen Details der Kunst und der Technik in seiner écriture. Sein Roman fungiert als Vergrößerungsglas beim Blick auf die Menschen und ihre Geschichte. Durch diese Einladung soll der Leser sich auf die Reise der eigenen Sinne machen und sich jenes „Werkzeug“ entnehmen, welches er zur geistigen Kreation braucht. Dabei verwandelt er sich in einen Voyeur, Detektiv und Eifersüchtigen, der die Spiele der Verwirrung, der Mehrdeutigkeit und Simulation ergründen möchte. In diesem Zusammenhang möchte ich in meiner Hausarbeit Prousts Schreibweise als „Schule der Sinne“ näher erläutern und besonders auf den intermedialen Charakter seiner Literatur eingehen. Vorab versuche ich, den Begriff der Intermedialität zu klären und stelle verschiedene Theorien dazu vor. Des Weiteren sollen auch Vorbehalte gegenüber den Literaturverfilmungen angesprochen werden, die im Rahmen der Diskussion um die Literatur als ursprüngliche Kunst von Kritikern geäußert wurden. Im zweiten Teil meiner Darstellung möchte ich mich der filmischen Umsetzung des Proustwerks „La prisionnière“ in Chantal Akermans „La Captive“ widmen. Basierend auf einem theoretischen Abriss zu spezifischen Aspekten der Filmästhetik werde ich die Trans-formation der Proustschen écriture anhand von drei ausgewählten Szenen im Film analysieren.
