Länder - Neuzeit, Absolutismus, Industrialisierung, Note: 1,0, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald (Historisches Institut), Veranstaltung: Geschichte Italiens, 21 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Mit der Intervention französischer Truppen in Italien des Jahres 1793 begann der Export der Französischen Revolution und die sukzessive Unterwerfung des europäischen Festlandes. Italien bildete hierfür den Auftakt und stellte für den zunächst noch unbekannten Oberbefehlshaber Napoleon ein Feld der persönlichen Profilierung dar. Durch eine Reihe von Siegen errang jener das Vertrauen des Direktoriums, an dessen Spitze er sich schließlich selbst durch einen Staatsstreich setzte. Seine Italienpolitik war vorwiegend darauf ausgerichtet, das Land für Frankreich wirtschaftlich nutzbar zu machen, um weitere europäische Kriegszüge zu finanzieren. Trotz dieser Tatsache wurde Italien in dieser Zeit vor allem aus staatspolitischer Sicht modernisiert und ein Schritt in Richtung moderne Staatlichkeit getan.
In meiner Seminararbeit Italien als Experiment Napoleons – Partizipation für die deutschen Staaten? möchte ich die Geschichte Italiens unter der Herrschaft Napoleons beleuchten. Zunächst stelle ich die Außenpolitik Frankreichs mit Italien sowie die inneritalienischen Verhältnisse von 1793 bis 1814 dar. Im Anschluss an diesen chronologischen Überblick werden die politischen Vorgänge, welche von Napoleon gesteuert wurden, untersucht und mit denen der deutschen Staaten, beginnend mit der Besetzung der linksrheinischen Gebiete ab 1803, verglichen.
Die Arbeitshypothese, dass die Italienpolitik Napoleons vielfach als eine Art Testfeld für später unterworfene (deutsche) Gebiete galt, soll im Laufe der Betrachtungen durch einen exemplarischen Vergleich der Italien- und Deutschlandpolitik Napoleons verifiziert werden. Zentrale Fragestellungen meiner Darstellung sind u. a.: Worin gab es Unterschiede zwischen Italien und den deutschen Staaten in der Innenpolitik Napoleons? Inwieweit galt die Italienpolitik als Vorläufer oder Erprobung für andere Nationen (dt. Staaten)? Wie erfolgte die Umsetzung der einzelnen Anordnungen und politischen Neuerungen? Welcher Widerstand wurde durch die Umgruppierung der Politik in der Bevölkerung hervorgerufen?
Mit Bezug auf diese Fragestellungen sollen Parallelen, aber auch Veränderungen im politischen Handeln des Ersten Konsuls dargestellt werden. Auf den Bereich des vielfach diskutierten Revolutionsexports wird in den folgenden Ausführungen auch eingegangen, um u.a. zu zeigen, dass Napoleon die Ideale und Ideen vorwiegend nur für seine eigenen Zwecke nutzte.
