Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Theaterwissenschaft, Tanz, Note: keine, Universität Leipzig, 15 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Synästhesie, abgeleitet von den altgriechischen Worten syn und aisthesis, heißt laut Duden: die "Miterregung eines Sinnesorgans bei Reizung eines anderen"(WERMKE:969). Synästhesie wird als ein zusätzlicher Kanal der Wahrnehmung verstanden, wobei unterschiedliche Kombination auftreten können, am häufigsten ist aber das farbige Hören, auch genannt audition colorée. Dabei führen Geräusche, Musik, Stimmen, ausgesprochene Buchstaben und Zahlen typischerweise zur Wahrnehmung bewegter Farben und Formen. Dennoch äußern sich Synästhesien bei jedem Betroffenen anders (MAHLING). Einigen Synästhetikern wird zudem nachgesagt, dass sie kreative Talente besäßen und
künstlerisch begabt seien. Tatsächlich gibt es unter den großartigen Künstlern der Moderne viele Beispiele dafür. Als bedeutende Synästhetiker wären der russische Schriftsteller Vladimir NABOKOV (NABOKOV: 40), der russische Maler Wassily KANDINSKY und der ebenfalls aus Russland stammende Komponist Alexander SKRJABIN zu nennen. Dennoch konnte der Zusammenhang zwischen Synästhesieneigung und kreativem Talent, trotz zahlreicher Experimente, nicht eindeutig nachgewiesen werden. Gerade in Hinsicht auf
frühere Synästhetiker z.B. aus der Romantik existieren nur Mutmaßungen, da der Begriff selbst erst 1868 geprägt wurde. So wird spekuliert, dass z.B. auch Johann Wolfgang v. GOETHE und Leonardo DA VINCI Synästhetiker gewesen sein könnten, dennoch sind diese Aussagen mit Vorsicht zu genießen, da das (un-) bewusste Vermischen der Sinne zwar schon zu dieser Zeit verbreitet war, der Begriff Synästhesie selbst aber noch nicht existierte. So wurde schon damals die Synästhesie in der Literatur bewusst als Stilmittel eingesetzt,
weshalb einige Psychologen die Unterscheidung zwischen willkürlicher (bewusster) und unwillkürlicher (unbewusster) Synästhesie machen. Ich ziehe jedoch für die Analyse der „Synästhesie in der Kunst“ folgende Unterscheidung vor: Synästhesie in der Alltagssprache und poetische Synästhesie. Dies geschieht aus folgendem Grund: Synästhesien der Alltagssprache kommen ebenfalls so häufig in Literatur vor, wie poetische Synästhesien,
jedoch vor allem in Romanen und Novellen, seltener in der Lyrik. [...]
