Um den Zugang zu der Thematik zu erleichtern, werde ich zuvor den Begriff der Maieutik klären, der auf Sokrates zurückzuführen ist. Da die Maieutik eng mit seinem Leben verbunden ist, werde ich hierzu eine kurze Übersicht geben, um anschließend die Entstehung von Begriff und Methode vorzunehmen. Wie also ist Sokrates auf den Begriff der Maieutik gestoßen? Was will er damit ausdrücken? Darüber hinaus werde ich die Maieutik auf die Pädagogik übertragen, was sich am Beispiel von Sokrates Dialog mit Theaitetos gut verdeutlichen lässt. Ferner werde ich untersuchen, inwieweit sich die Maieutik auf das heutige Schulsystem übertragen lässt, beziehungsweise welche Voraussetzungen geschaffen werden müssen, um sie in der Schule anzuwenden.
Anschließend beschäftige ich mich mit der Alterskunst als umgekehrte Maieutik und versuche zu klären, wie eine umgekehrte Maieutik auszusehen hat und angewandt werden kann. In meinem Resümee werde ich abschließend die wichtigsten Punkte zusammenfassen sowie die Bewertung des Referats vornehmen.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Französisch - Linguistik, Note: 2,0, Philipps-Universität Marburg ( Institut für Anglistik und Amerikanistik), Veranstaltung: Seminar: Funktionale Satzperspektive, 12 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Im Rahmen der Funktionalen Satzperspektive (FSP) gliedert sich im Allgemeinen die Aussage in zwei Teile, nämlich das Thema oder den Gegenstand der Aussage und das Rhema oder das, was über den Gegenstand der Aussage gesagt wird. Diese beiden Teile stellen zwei komplementäre Mitteilungsfunktionen von verschiedenen semantischen Bestandteilen einer Aussage dar. Die FSP befasst sich mit dem Konzept der Gliederung in Thema und Rhema bzw. Topic und Comment, wobei die kommunikative Funktion der Elemente für die jeweilige Perspektive entscheidend ist. Die FSP, auch Mitteilungsperspektive (MP) oder Thema-Rhema Gliederung (TRG) genannt, untersucht des weiteren die Verteilung der Information in Sätzen. Die TRG bietet verschiedene Möglichkeiten, verschiedene Informationen nach ihrem Schwerpunkt zu gewichten. Hierzu wird neben der thematischen Progression (TP), Aktiv-Passiv-Konstruktionen und verschiedener Herausstellungsstrukturen, wie beispielsweise die Extraposition des Subjekts oder dessen Inversion, auch die Satzsegmentierung angewandt. Bereits die Linguisten der Prager Schule, sowie führende amerikanische Linguisten befassten sich mit der Wortstellung und der Informationsstruktur von Sprache im Allgemeinen. Jedoch muss hierbei die Funktionale Satzanalyse streng von der Formalen unerschieden werden. Die FSP beschreibt die Organisation einer Aussage aus einem bestimmten Blickwinckel heraus. Die vorliegende Arbeit soll einen Überblick über die FSP des Fränzösischen geben. Hierzu werden sowohl die Aufteilung der Aussage in Thema und Rhema bzw. Topic und Comment, als auch thematische Progression, das Verhältnis von Aktiv- und Passivsätzen im Textzusammenhang, sowie die für das Französische typischen Herausstellungsstrukturen berücksichtigt. Anhand dieser Grundlagen der Funktionalen Satzperspektive soll in der vorliegenden Arbeit die Wortstellung und die Informationsstruktur des moderne Französisch beschrieben werden.

Dabei scheint die Lösung recht einleuchtend : die Schüler müssen Spass an Lernen, Wissen und Unterricht haben. Möglicherweise ist dies zu einfach gedacht, bedeutet es doch aber, einen Schritt auf die Schüler zuzugehen, was gleichbedeutend ein Schritt in Richtung besserer Leistungen wäre.
In dieser Hausarbeit sollen kreative, schüleraktivierende Methoden zur Textarbeit und deren Anwendung in der sogenannten Pre-Reading-Phase im Mittelpunkt stehen. Der Fokus liegt hierbei auf der Pre-Reading-Phase, da sie am Anfang jeder Textarbeit steht und praktisch die Basis für alle anschließenden Textverfahren bildet. In ihr werden die „Weichen“ für das weitere Unterrichtsgeschehen gestellt, Schüler können zum Beispiel zur Arbeit an Texten motiviert werden und folgen dem ganzen Text interessiert. Wird das Vorwissen der Schüler ausreichend aktiviert, hat das Auswirkungen auf die gesamte anschließende Textarbeit. Mit recht einfachen Mitteln kann die Textarbeit Spass machen und die Schüler zu weiterführender Arbeit anregen.
In dieser Hausarbeit werden ausgehend von Ergebnissen und Vorschlägen Daniela Casparis und Klaus Hinz' zunächst im 2. Kapitel Begründungen für die Anwendung kreativer Methoden angeführt und auf die Pre-Reading-Phase bezogen. Im 3. Kapitel folgt daraufhin eine kurze Abgrenzung der Anwendung der Verfahren sowohl im traditionellen als auch im modernen Unterricht, um zu zeigen, wie Textarbeit vollzogen wurde/wird und eigentlich werden sollte. Anschließend werden im 4. Kapitel einzelne Methoden, die in der Pre-Reading-Phase angewendet werden können, vorgestellt.

Zielsetzung dieser Bildungsexpansion war die quantitative Ausweitung der Bildungsbeteiligung sowie die Verbesserung der Bildungschancen aller sozialen Klassen und Schichten. Bildung ist „zur wichtigsten Grundlage für materiellen Wohlstand moderner Gesellschaften geworden“.1Beim Zugang zu Bildung ist Chancengleichheit als wichtiges gesellschaftliches Gut ein Gebot sozialer Gerechtigkeit in der Bundesrepublik. Alle sollen entsprechend ihren Leistungen und Fähigkeiten gleiche Chancen zum Erwerb mittlerer oder höherer Bildungsabschlüsse erhalten. Theoretisch ist es somit jedem möglich, die Schulbildung zu erhalten, zu der er befähigt ist. Offiziell wird dabei der meritokratischen Logik oder anders ausgedrückt, dem Leistungsprinzip gefolgt, d.h. jeder wird nach der tatsächlich erbrachten Leistung bewertet und eingestuft und erhält aufgrund dieser Einstufung weitere Zulassungen. Eine Selektion nach wirtschaftlicher Situation oder Schichtzugehörigkeit wird öffentlich dementiert.

Dabei kann es zu Problemen kommen, da beispielsweise ein Historiker mit einem ganz anderen Hintergrund an eine Fragestellung herantritt als ein Archäologe oder Soziologe. Wenn man sich nun fragt, was eine Stadt ist, dann lässt sich schnell feststellen, dass sich unsere heutige Stadtdefinition nicht ohne weiteres auf die Stadt im Alten Ägypten übertragen lässt. Wenn man nun jedoch einen Schritt weiter geht, dann lässt sich dasselbe Dilemma bei der Definition von ägyptischen Hauptstädten erkennen. Dabei wird man mit verschiedenen Fragen konfrontiert: Ab wann war eine Stadt eine Hauptstadt? Befand sich die Hauptstadt dort, wo sich der Herrscher hauptsächlich aufhielt? Kann man von einer Hauptstadt sprechen, wenn wichtige Teile des Regierungsapparates ausgelagert waren? Diese Hausarbeit wird nun auf den folgenden Seiten versuchen, einen Überblick über die ägyptischen Hauptstädte zu geben. Auf die oben genannten Fragen wird explizit nicht eingegangen, dennoch sollten sie im Hinterkopf behalten werden und unter Umständen zur weiteren Thematisierung anregen.

Der zeitliche Rahmen dieser Arbeit umfasst in etwa 2600 Jahre. Beginnen wird sie mit einer knappen Beschreibung der hauptstädtischen Ausgangslage, aus der schließlich Memphis als erste Hauptstadt des Alten Reiches hervorging, und in der Spätzeit enden. Leider kann im Rahmen dieser Arbeit nicht auf jede Einzelheit eingegangen werden. Außerdem soll versucht werden, die Städte gleichwertig zu behandeln. Um zuletzt noch auf die Reihenfolge zu sprechen zu kommen; diese wurde nicht zufällig gewählt, sondern vielmehr nach chronologischen Gesichtspunkten erstellt.1. Hierbei kam es allerdings auch zu zeitlichen Überschneidungen, die, um das vorwegzunehmen, mit der jeweiligen politischen Situation in Ägypten zu erklären sind. [...]

Zum einen macht sie deutlich, dass der Sprachunterricht in den vorangehenden Klassen als Belastung empfunden wird, der aber, um bei den Schülern die Fähigkeit des normgerechten Sprechens und Schreibens zu erreichen, notwendig ist. Zum zweiten steckt darin die Behauptung, dass diese Entwicklung mit dem Eintritt in die Oberstufe abgeschlossen ist; zusätzlich liegt der Aussage die fälschliche Annahme zugrunde, dass in der Sek. II kein Sprachunterricht mehr gegeben werden müsse. Die Rahmenrichtlinien (RRL) des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt belehren spätestens den zukünftigen Deutschlehrer hier eines besseren. Außerdem verrät ein Blick in die RRL, dass der Bereich „Reflexion über Sprache“ nicht nur nicht mit der Sek. I abgeschlossen ist, sondern eine weitere Beschäftigung mit diesem Thema für die auch noch in diesem Alter fortschreitende Entwicklung der sprachlichen Kompetenz der SchülerInnen vonnöten ist. About the Author
ANDREW O. SMITH is a manufacturing executive and former consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton with a long-standing interest in economic policy. As chief operating officer of the Yenkin-Majestic Paint Corporation, one of the largest independent paint companies in the United States, he has firsthand experience running a diverse chemical manufacturing company. Smith earned an engineering degree from the School of Engineering and Applied Science and a finance degree from the Wharton School, both at the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned a JD and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He lives in Columbus, Ohio.

This has been a background book for the last several months. Anytime I find myself traveling this book has been the goto reading. The author makes a compelling case as to why we've been so successful in the past, and how the current climate is eroding that advantage. The book is loaded with concrete data points, but even better is the links back to real-world examples from the author's time in industry (eventually as a CEO of a paint company). From these anecdotes, we learn how confusing it can be to buy a used piece of equipment (for moving materials) or how the gov viewed lead paint, and even how product liability works these days (deepest pockets pay, not the most responsible). The author closes out with a chapter on how to fix these things. And at the center of this is a gov provided comprehensive risk policy that covered everything from health care to unemployment. Those that wanted more that basic coverage could pay for more. But at the core, everyone got a basic plan that would cover making you whole for everything from falling off a defective ladder to basic treatment for cancer. The author spends a lot of time ensuring that incentives are correct in each case...something missing from gov thinking these days.

Overall, a great read with concrete, well thought out solutions from a person with solid first-hand experience. I'd really hope the author can get more time on the national stage to help shape the debate. But that presumes those that are shaping the debate currently have an interest in things actually working. Increasingly, I'm convinced they do not.

I really liked this book

I really liked this book, but I'm a manufacturing guy, worked in that industry my entire career. I've loaned it to a couple of friends who thought is was, well, "pretty dull". So be forewarned, if you aren't at least favorably disposed toward manufacturing, this book may not be to your liking. I believe the author amply demonstrates his primary point, that governmental policies have really hurt our manufacturing industries. It's no wonder that many of our really successful companies have chosen to make their products elsewhere, to the detriment, of course, of what almost all politicians blather about, "....high paying, blue collar (and usually union) jobs".

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2001 im Fachbereich Politik - Internationale Politik - Thema: Entwicklungspolitik, Note: 2,2, Universität Rostock (Institut für Politik- und Verwaltungswissenschaften), Veranstaltung: Madagaskar - Schatztruhe oder Faß ohne Boden?, 10 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Madagaskar hat heute ein Bruttosozialprodukt von 235$ pro Kopf (1998). Damit ist der Staat laut UNDP-Bericht zur menschlichen Entwicklung das 12.Ärmste Land unserer Erde. Auf der Liste der achtundvierzig LLDC‘s ( Least Developed Countries) befindet sich die viertgrößte Insel der Welt somit ganz am Ende. Rund drei viertel der Madagassen leben unterhalb der Armutsgrenze. Trotz einer Vielzahl von Krediten, die Madagaskar in den achtziger Jahren erhielt, war bis zum Ende der 90er Jahre kaum eine Verbesserung der allgemeinen wirtschaftlichen Lage eingetreten. Deshalb wird es die Aufgabe meiner Arbeit sein, die Hemmnisse und Probleme der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung von Madagaskar darzustellen. Die Gründe für die stockende Entwicklung sind sehr vielfältig. Vieles ist eng miteinander verknüpft. Zuerst werde ich deshalb die Geschichte des Inselstaates näher betrachten. Danach will ich mich mit der Kultur und der Gesellschaft Madagaskars auseinandersetzen, weil ich denke, dass diese in engem Zusammenhang mit der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung steht. Nachdem ich dann die derzeitige Lage in der Wirtschaft erläutert habe will ich mich mit den Ursachen und Gründen beschäftigen, die einen schnellen und drastischen Aufschwung der madagassischen Ökonomie behindern beziehungsweise verhindern. Zum Schluß werde ich versuchen eine Aussicht in Hinsicht auf baldige Besserung der mißlichen Lage des Landes vorzunehmen.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Politische Soziologie, Majoritäten, Minoritäten, Note: 2,0, Universität Hamburg (Department für Wirtschaft und Politik), Veranstaltung: Aktuelle soziologische Theorieansätze, 8 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese schriftliche Ausarbeitung des Referates „Politische Interventionen bei Bourdieu, Sartre und Faucoult“ fokussiert sich auf die politischen Interventionen bei Bourdieu. Pierre Bourdieu ist ursprünglich als forschender Ethnologe und Soziologe sowie später auch als Philosoph und als politisch Engagierter in Erscheinung getreten. Zum ersten Mal ist er in den 50er Jahren mit seinen Arbeiten zur Soziologie, der sich unter der Einflussnahme der Kolonialisierung wandelnden algerischen Gesellschaft in Erscheinung getreten. Anfang der 60er Jahre hat er begonnen, das französische Bildungssystem und dessen Rolle bei der Reproduktion gesellschaftlicher Klassenverhältnisse zu erforschen. In den 70er Jahren stehen für Bourdieu kultursoziologische und klassentheoretische Fragestellungen im Zentrum seiner Forschungsarbeiten. 1979 hat er sein berühmtes Werk „Die feinen Unterschiede“ herausgebracht. Zum einen hat Bourdieu 1985, nach Ersuchen des französischen Staatspräsident Mitterand, Vorschläge für das Bildungswesen der Zukunft gemacht. Dabei ging es um detailliert ausformulierte kulturpolitische Maßnahmen zur Reform des französischen Bildungssystems, wobei u. a. die Sicherstellung der Autonomie der Universitäten, Ausdehnung der Autonomie auf den Sekundarschulbereich die zentrale Forderung darstellt. 1989 hat er die Kulturzeitschrift „Liber“ ins Leben gerufen. P. Bourdieu entwickelte im Kontext der liberalen Gegenrevolution, die der Ökonomie zur Macht verhilft über die Analyse sozialer Effekte ökonomischer Logiken hinaus, eine Soziologie der Ökonomie. Im Jahre 2000 legte Bourdieu in „Les Structures sociales de l´économie“ eine Untersuchung über den Wohnungsmarkt, die zu Beginn der 90er Jahre durchgeführt wurde, vor. Bei dieser Untersuchung geht es um eine historische Analyse staatlicher Politik im Hinblick auf Bewegungen des Kapitals und Delokalisierung von Unternehmen sowie Prinzipien einer ökonomischen Anthropologie gegen die ahistorische Vision der Wirtschaftswissenschaften. Parallel machte er eine Zusammenfassung seiner Arbeiten über Algerien, darüber hinaus machte er eine Zusammenfassung über die soziale Genese des ökonomischen Habitus. Aufgrund eines weltweiten einheitlichen Raums (Logik einer Kapitalkonzentration) unterstützt P. Bourdieu die Bewegung gegen die neoliberale Globalisierung bei den Protesten in Nizza, welches der Schwerpunkt dieser schriftlichen Ausarbeitung sein wird. [...]
